altTEHRAN – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Mohammad Ali Jafari announced on Friday that the latest defense technology, which was developed by Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam, is ready for the final test.

A number of IRGC personnel including Major General Tehrani Moqaddam, the director of the IRGC Jihad Self-Sufficiency Organization, were killed by two huge explosions that occurred on November 12 at an IRGC munitions depot near the town of Malard in Alborz Province.

Pointing to his last meeting with Tehrani Moqaddam, the IRGC commander said, “In that meeting, he cheerfully announced the latest technology that he had managed to develop after several years of endeavor and said that all stages of (developing) this technology were completed and it was ready for the final test.”

Jafari also said that he cannot give more details about Tehrani Moqaddam’s technological innovations due to security considerations.

“But these activities will continue at the IRGC Jihad Self-Sufficiency Organization, and God willing, the results will be announced.”

In addition, he rejected the claims that the Zionist regime was behind the blasts that hit the munitions depot.

The IRGC deputy commander on Tuesday had said that Tehrani Moqaddam was the mainstay and architect of the IRGC’s missile program.

He said, “Martyr Tehrani Moqaddam was trying to find out how it is possible to hunt enemy’s moving warships in the sea using ballistic missiles.”

He added that Tehrani Moqaddam also worked on developing advanced radar-evading unmanned aerial vehicles and managed to build UAVs that can travel hundreds of kilometers and send most precise images to the ground control.
